How do you define a community?
We look for groups & spaces that regularly bring likeminded members together at in-person events. They need to be prioritising and facilitating human connection, and ideally have something that everyone shares, like an interest, a value, a goal, or a lifestyle. Even better: members are getting involved and co-creating the community too.
Where does Flock get its community information?
We do a bunch of research and manually curate everything from word of mouth / recommendations, publicly available websites and social pages. We don't own or claim any photos or descriptions โ we simply make great communities easier to find.
Can I add a community to the database, or claim/update/hide an existing listing?
Yep! Listings are free, and we're always open to featuring new community spaces and events.
You're welcome to submit a community hereโ whether one that you're leading, or one that you generally enjoy and would recommend to others.
If it's your own community, you're always in control of how it appears on Flock โ so feel free to create an accountif you'd like to claim, update or hide an existing listing.
If you hide your community, you'll still be able to invite Flock members directly to join you if you sign up ๐ If you'd like it removed, let us know!
How do I add my community events to Flock?
It all happens in one go when you add your community to Flock. The form includes an events section: paste your events link (Luma, Humanitix, Eventbrite, Partiful, Linktree or your own website) and if your community's approved, Flock will automatically pull your upcoming events onto the calendar every morning.
If you don't have an event platform, submit your ad-hoc events via your Flock account, or just tell us the day, time and cadence of any regular gatherings and it'll forever be set up as a recurring event ๐ซก
Which cities does Flock cover?
Right now Flock covers Sydney, Melbourne, and New York more comprehensively, and we have a wider list of communities around the globe.
